Discuss and consider entering into an Interlocal Agreement between Williamson County and the City of Round Rock regarding funding for improvements to RM 620.
Background
This interlocal agreement between Williamson County and the City of Round Rock is regarding funding for RM 620 improvements from Deep Wood Drive to the Frontage Road at IH 35. This joint venture project is estimated to cost approximately $21,000,000. The county is agreeing to contribute $4,000,000 which will be paid in three lump sums, $1,000,000 within 30 days of environmental approval from TxDOT, $ 1,000,000 within 30 days of completion of 100% of the construction plans for phase I, and the final $ 2,000,000 after the award of the construction contract.
The Round Rock City Council voted unanimously to pass this agreement at the their regular city council meeting on Thursday, November 8th.
