Discuss and take appropriate action on the Williamson County Community Development Block Grant Single Audit Policy.
Background
In accordance with 24 CFR 570.502(a), Applicability of Uniform Administrative requirements; (7) Section 85.26, Non-federal Audits, grantees are responsible for determining whether subgrantees have met the audit requirements of the Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996 and revised OMB Circular A-133, "Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations."
The proposed CDBG Single Audit policy outlines requirements set forth in OMB circular A-133, , Audits of States, Local Governments and Non-Profit organizations. It will assist in ensuring that subrecipients have internal accounting and other control systems in place to assure that they are able to manage federal funds in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The policy was developed with the assistance of the County Auditors Office.
