Discuss and consider a line item transfer for the Health District
Background
When the FY '12 budget was adopted, HR included the Health District's COLA in their recommendation totals since the HD typically requests the same COLA be granted to their employees as is awarded to Williamson County employees. With that said, the Budget Office understood the HR recommended 3% COLA to be included in the Health Districts' Coop Agreement funding request of $1,975,123 as well. When budget was adopted, COLA was awarded at 1.5% and the Budget Office went into the Health District budget and reduced the Coop line item by 1.5% or $14,972.69 for a total recommended amount of $1,960,150.31. We just learned that the Health District's request did NOT include any COLA and, therefore, need to not only put back in the 1.5% that was eliminated but also award the 1.5% given by the court. The total amount needed is $29,945.38.
