Consider approving Change Order No. 13 in the amount of -$338,170.26 for US 79, Section 5B a Pass Through Financing Project in Precinct 4.
Background
This change order adds an overlay of the existing pavement scarred by detour striping on the east end of the project in Rockdale in order to eliminate the remnants of the detour pavement markings and provide a final pavement tie-in. This change order also reconciles final quantities on a number of items resulting in spending less money than originally planned to construct the project.
The original contract amount of the 5B Project was $16,986,053.49 and the contract amount of the 5A Project was $20,021,693.92, for a total construction cost of $37,007,747.41 for US 79 Section 5. To-date with CO #13 on the 5B Project and CO #17 on the 5A and all previous change orders, $734,003.34 has been deducted from the total US 79 Section 5 Project (Taylor to the Williamson County Line). The revised construction cost of US 79 Section 5 is $36,273,744.07, a net savings of 2.0%.
