Discuss and take appropriate action on agreement with Samaritan Health Ministries for participation in the Williamson County Uninsured Healthcare Program.
Background
Samaritan Health Ministries has successfully participated in the Community Clinic Services Program (CCS) since it began in 2002. The CCS program was formerly administered by the WCCHD. During this year's Tobacco Account budget process the Court directed Samaritan's funding to come through an agreement in order to eliminate administration fees, and to allow more funding to go toward direct patient care of the uninsured who have no other source of payment. The agreement is similar to the one that was approved by the Court for Lone Star Circle of Care for the 2009/2010 fiscal year. Hal Hawes has reviewed and approved the form of the agreement.
