Discuss and approve use of Homeland Security Grant Program funds to purchase an armored vehicle through the United States General Services Administration’s State and Local Law Enforcement Equipment Procurement Program (1122 program) from Lenco Armored Vehicles for $269,776. 00.

Background

This purchase will be made thru a federal contract Lenco Armored Vehicles has with the General Services Administration (GSA). We have reviewed the documentation forwarded to us and have determined that it is possible to purchase from this federal contract. When the Commissioners Court approves the use of the HS Grant Funds for the purchase of this vehicle the purchasing department will be able to issue the required Purchase Order.
