The contract amount for fiscal years 2008 and 2009 totals $302,886.42. A prior, similar grant application was approved 9/30/08 to benefit Juvenile Services. That grant, in the amount of $200,887 for hybrid vehicles, leaves a balance of $101,999.42.
This application is to replace three older heavy duty trucks in URS. The three trucks to be purchased will be cleaner and have lower emissions and this grant application supports implementation of the Texas Health and Safety Code, 383.220. The total amount of the purchase is $237,382. The total amount of the expenditure is already in the county budget and grant funds will reduce direct county expenditures by $101,999.42.
This application has been discussed with the Local Initiative Projects coordinator at TCEQ and has received preliminary approval. |
