Discuss and consider a line item transfer for DPS NW

Background

In the 2008-2009 budget recommendations we approved a "Mapscenes Forensic Mapping System" upgrade to be used in re-constructing accidents for DPS Georgetown to be used in Williamson County as well as training money for 4 DPS troopers on this upgraded equipment. In addition, the Court approved training monies for 2 Williamson County deputies to be trained as well. DPS NW was under the impression that DPS Georgetown was requesting funds for the training of their four troopers, but this was incorrect. This funding will pay for the 4 troopers from DPS NW to go to training. In order to hold the class a 10 person minimum is required.
