Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding standardized forms and procedures for both governmental and private entities related to off-duty work by county deputies to confirm private contractor status for legal compliance and IRS purposes. Action may include, but is not limited to: 1) setting governmental and private vehicle reimbursement rates; and 2) approve standard forms setting forth criteria (such as elected official’s finding of “public purpose” for benefit of taxpayers of Williamson County) and procedures (such as invoicing from the County Auditor) as part of the county’s oversight of public assets and budgetary matters. (Note: Use of standardized forms for vehicle reimbursements will authorize Sheriff and constables to sign as county representatives so long as fully-signed forms are submitted to the consent agenda). (Note: Vehicle reimbursement forms for MUDs contain specific language relevant to those entities and will be handled individually between the MUD and county).
