Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on rejecting bid received for Culverts - Corrugated Metal, 14IFB00237 from NNA Financials Services Co. LLC.

Background

One bid only was received for this IFB. Research was conducted in order to ensure that pricing submitted by this only bidder would be competitive. The submitted pricing was compared to other current contracts in the field and appeared to be between 4% to more than 100% higher depending on the item bid. Therefore it is the department's recommendation to reject this bid. After thorough analysis of the only submittal, it appears that overall costs for this commodity may be lowered by re-bidding.
