Discuss and consider approving a change in a Vote Center location in Round Rock, Texas, for the 2013 November elections.

Background

Since the original approval was received from Hilton Garden Inn, Round Rock, Texas, to be designated as a Vote Center, the Manager received information that the Hilton Garden Inn would be undergoing renovations sooner than expected. Because of this construction, the voting area is no longer available November 5, 2013. We are requesting to replace the Hilton Garden Inn with the Courtyard by Marriott, which is behind the Denny's Restaurant, and .5 miles from the original location. Hilton Garden Inn is located in County Election Precinct 119 and Courtyard by Marriot in County Election Precinct 182. A fee is not being charged. Election Office personnel made a site visit and contacted the Vote Center Committee. Request is made to designate Courtyard by Marriott, 2700 Hoppe Trail, Round Rock, Texas, in place of the Hilton Garden Inn. Attached to this submission is the proposed Vote Center Locations with the requested substitution highlighted.
