Discuss and consider approving the city of Leander becoming a Member of the the Williamson Counties and Cities Health District.
Background
As discussed at the recent joint meeting, the City of Leander has formally requested membership in the Health District. A copy of Leander's application letter is attached for your review. In anticipation of this, the WCCHD Board, at their last meeting considered Leander's request and strongly supports without any reservations, your acceptance of Leander’s request to join the district. Leander's city council approved and budgeted the full amount requested by the board this year and upon approval of all current members, they will be invited to appoint a member to the Board of Health.
