Consider authorizing advertising and setting date of November 29, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Purchasing Department to receive bids for Crack Sealing Services for Williamson County Road and Bridge, Bid #13IFB00114.

Background

This bid is seeking bids from companies to provide experienced crack seal crews and equipment to clean and seal joints and cracks in asphalt pavement. This Contract is intended to assist with the preparation of County maintained roadways for the application of surface treatments this coming spring (2013). Timing is crucial in preparing as many streets as possible prior to the beginning of HMACP/seal coat season. Estimated cost for this project is $350,000 with a Completion Time of ninety (90) working days for the work that is to be performed during the initial contract term. Williamson County may request that additional work be provided following the initial contract term.
