Consider awarding bids received for bid# 13IFB00106 Roadside Chemicals and Herbicides to the best bid meeting specifications, Crop Production Services.

Background

Out of six (6) bid submittals three (3) bidders had to be rejected due to various reasons listed on the attached bid tabulation. It is the department's recommendation to award the entire contract to Crop Production Services considering they were low bid on majority of the items. On those items they were tied with other vendors, it is the recommendation to award these also to Crop Production Services as per Texas Local Government Code Section 271.905 Consideration of Location of Principal Place of Business, considering that Crop Production's Principal Place of Business is in Taylor, Tx and awarding these items to Crop Production will contribute to the economic development of Williamson County.
