Discuss and consider exempting Motorola Solutions Sales and Services, Inc. from the competitive bidding or proposal requirements established by Section 262.023 of the Texas Local Government Code as a sole source provider to the County in relation to the procurement of Radio Tower Maintenance/Maintenance of Public Safety Radio System related services pursuant to the discretionary exemptions under Section 262.024(a)(7)(A)&(D) of the Texas Local Government Code (items for which competition is precluded because of the existence of patents, copyrights, secret processes, or monopolies; and captive replacement parts or components for equipment).

Background

Motorola Solutions is a sole provider for Network Monitoring, Security Assessment, Software Support and System upgrades for Radio Tower Maintenance/Maintenance of the Public Safety Radio System. Sole source purchase affidavit is attached. For questions, please contact Bob Space at 943-1555.
