Consider closing Tantivy Drive between Hunters Chase and Elkhorn Mountain, on November 5th, 2011, from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for a block party and consider loaning cones.

Background

The neighbors along Tantivy Drive would like to close the roadway from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on November 5th, 2011 for a block party. Tantivy is a small side street that runs between Hunters Chase Drive and Elkhorn Mountain. The neighbors have been notified via flyers that were put on doors and this has been through the county's road closure process with all departments approving. They are expecting approximately 40-50 people. They have had these block parties in the past, usually a couple of times a year and to date we have never received a complaint. They would like to borrow 8 cones from the county. The contact person for this event is Beth Womble.
