Discuss and take appropriate action on naming park properties.
Background
Our most recently acquired park properties (Byers Tract and Williams Tract) have a clear identity crisis. We should consider naming these park properties before the existing names become permanent. Naming a park property is difficult because names can be tied to historical events, past land use practices, prominent or prevailing natural or cultural resources, rivers, lakes, specific events, nearby communities, towns, people, etc. After much consideration, the following names are proposed:
Blackland Heritage Park (Byers Tract)
River Ranch County Park (Williams Tract)
