Background

We request to outfit 11 water trucks (9 that we currently operate and 2 we propose to convert) with a pump and hose kit. The pump and hose kits will allow us to clean culverts in both urban and rural areas. It will additionally allow us to assist in watering material stockpiles to remove dust prior to use allowing the aggregate to have better adhesion to the asphalt. The installed cost for each pump and hose kit is approximately $8,000 each. $6,000 for each of which is going into Heavy Equipment greater than $5,000 and $2,000 of each is going into Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
