  URS Superintendent Greg Bergeron told the Court that FEMA approved $177,000 for damages from earlier flood damage to roads, of which we will receive $140,000.

  Second By: Commissioner Precinct 1 Lisa Birkman Motion: To settle with the City of Thrall G & E Company in the amount of $12,000 for .096 acres of land for Highway 79 Pass Through Project.

45. Comments from Commissioners.
  Commissioner Birkman noted that a date needs to be set for Household Hazardous Waste Day on a future Court agenda.

Commissioner Long introduced Melissa Mixon as the new assigned reporter from the Austin American Statesman.

Commissioner Covey noted that the Court should consider having a Facilities Workshop.

Judge Gattis noted that all agenda items as of October 2, 2007 will have to be submitted electronically. The Judge’s office will hopefully move into their offices in the newly renovated Courthouse on October 29th. The agenda will be available via their courtroom laptops on November 13th which hopefully will be the first day Commissioners’ Court will be held in their own courtroom in the Courthouse on the Square.
