Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving a variance request to Paragraph 8.2 of the 2000 Williamson County Subdivision Regulations for the Star Ranch Townhomes final plat - Pct 4.
Background
Paragraph 8.2 of the 2000 Williamson County Subdivision Regulations establishes a front yard building setback of 25 feet along all public roads other than major roads. The Star Ranch Townhomes project is located along the east side of Winterfield Drive, and consists of a series of multi-unit, single-family townhomes in several buildings. The Owner has requested a variance from this requirement to move the buildings adjacent to Winterfield Drive less than five feet closer to Winterfireld Drive. This relocation would help circulation in the interior driveway by making it easier to access the garage of this building and preserve trees that would otherwise have to be removed. This revised building setback along Winterfield Drive is shown on the final plat as Plat Note 12 as 20 feet.
