Consider appointing Thomas E. Nanninga to serve on the ESD #2 board to serve a two year term beginning on Jan. 1, 2011 and ending Dec. 31, 2013 for the position formerly held by Gwen King.

Background

Commissioner Birkman and Commissioner Covey have interviewed Mr. Thomas Nanninga and are recommending his appointment. Judge Gattis also met with Mr. Nanninga and he too is recommending his appointment. Thomas has also met with the current board and attended a board meeting. He would be filling an expired term of Gwen King who has resigned from the board. Her term ended on Dec. 31, 2010. We are also recommending he be appointed to fill an additional 2 year term to begin on Jan. 1, 2011 and expire on Dec. 31, 2013.
