Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for ITS

Background

Need to purchase a small air conditioning unit for the telephone room in the Justice Center. Currently the room is on the building's general air conditioning and when that system fails or simply shuts down routinely it jeopardizes the sensitive -- and expensive -- computer/telecomm equipment in that room. Recent failures in the voicemail system are directly attributed to extreme heat experienced recently in the telephone room. The equipment generates a great deal of heat (as does any computer equipment) and even when the rest of the building needs heat because of the winter season, this room continuously needs a/c to cool the components (again, as does any computer room).
