The State of Texas through the actions of the Texas Legislature supported the Crisis Redesign Initiative and allocated $82 million for additional crisis services for the FY 2008-2009 biennium. The initiative mandated that Local Mental Health Authorities use the funding to develop hotline services and mobile outreach teams, both of which Williamson County already had in existence. In order to avoid duplication of services, Bluebonnnet Trails used their Crisis Redesign funding to expand the existing services of the Williamson County Mobile Outreach Team. This is a renewal of the interlocal agreement with Bluebonnet Trails MHMR. The agreement will pay for the salary, retirement and benefits for an additional team member; radio; uniforms; phone/pager; training; printed materials; and pay Williamson County a fee for service for assessments and follow-up services. |
