Agenda Item
Discuss and take appropriate action on approving a modification to the IGSA between ICE and Williamson County regarding the provision of housing for non-criminal females at the T. Don Hutto Residential Facility.
Background

The T. Don Hutto Residential Facility currently houses only families. These families make up a population of 250 individuals. The facility has room to house 500 individuals. Thus, in an effort to fully use the facility’s capacity, ICE is requesting that non-criminal females be incorporated into a separate segregated area of the facility. As detailed in the Statement of Work that is attached to the modification, all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that the family population and the non-criminal female population are separated at all times. Each population shall be maintained in a manner that prevents, to the maximum extent possible, any commingling or sight and sound contact. The proposed modification is a no cost modification.
